About The Post-Christian Church of God

Imagine all we have to do is tell the truth and die to make it to heaven. Simply tell the truth no matter what, even in the face of death. So easy. Don’t need to judge the flesh or stress, or try to keep our flesh in order, or be jealous, envious, anxious. We don’t have to be stressed. Don’t have to be miserable and liars like others who judge each other. So easy.
Derich Jester - Founder
Post-Christian Church of God
Overview
The Post-Christian Church of God is a religious movement founded by Derich Jester. Its origin traces back to Jester’s beginning in his early teens. After decades of engaging with scripture, prayer, and dreams, Jester concluded that Christianity fulfilled its purpose in the first century, culminating with the destruction of the Jerusalem Temple in the Siege of Jerusalem (70 AD).
The movement emphasizes absolute truth, radical honesty, non-violence, and ethical living, teaching that spiritual alignment with God is possible through confession, avoidance of evil, and unity among believers.
Dreams and other spiritual experiences are considered valid only when received by those living truthfully, and doctrinal unity is viewed as proof of genuine revelation.
Leadership emerges naturally among those demonstrating honesty and spiritual insight, while the movement has grown from an online community to emerging physical congregations, including East Africa. Jester anticipates that, over time, the movement may evolve internally, potentially losing some of its original emphasis while retaining the core belief that Christianity has ended.
Founder & Origin
The Post-Christian Church of God is a religious movement founded by Derich Jester. Its origin traces back to Jester’s beginning in his early teens. After decades of engaging with scripture, prayer, and dreams, Jester concluded that Christianity fulfilled its purpose in the first century, culminating with the destruction of the Jerusalem Temple in the Seige of Jerusalem (70 AD).
Derich Jester initially shared his beliefs online, publishing his first book, “Christianity Ended in AD 70” in 2017. The name “Post-Christian Church of God” was formally adopted around 2023-2024, alongside a pamphlet-style book (“Post-Christian Church of God: Life, Truth, and Salvation After Christianity”) and an online community space on Discord.
Core Beliefs and Theology
- The movement teaches that Christianity existed temporarily after the death of Jesus Christ to defeat sin and Satan. Once prophecy was fulfilled around 70 AD, Christianity ended, and humanity entered a post-Christian era.
- Sin: Refers to habits and impulses of the flesh, which no longer affect the spirit after Jesus’ first-century actions.
- Evil: Includes acts that harm others, such as lying, abuse, theft, cheating, and murder. Evil originates from judging others’ flesh, whereas sin is no longer spiritually counted.
Truth and Reality
- Truth Equals Reality. Lying is considered creating a fictional world, which has no existence in reality.
- Living honestly, confessing wrongdoing, and avoiding evil aligns a person with truth, which enables spiritual connection with God.
- The lake of fire represents the destruction of false identities built on deception, while heaven is eternal existence for those who live in alignment with truth.
Dreams and Revelation
- God communicates primarily through dreams to those who are in complete honesty.
Practices and Community Life
Radical Honesty
Members are encouraged to:
- Confess all wrongdoing and lies, including past actions.
- Avoid deception and judgment of others’ flesh.
- Refrain from violence and evil acts.
Unity and Disagreement
- Unity among believers is considered a proof of truth.
- Contradictory dreams or differing doctrines are resolved naturally: open discussion is encouraged, and those whose beliefs diverge may leave voluntarily.
- Expulsion occurs only for blatant evil, lies, or violence.
Leadership
- Elders emerge naturally through demonstrated honesty, alignment with God, and verified spiritual insight.
- Leaders and teachers are expected to stay connected, forming a networked leadership rather than a centralized hierarchy.
- Followers are encouraged to write books, produce media, and share the doctrine widely.
Expansion and Growth
The movement began online and gradually gained followers worldwide. Early international expansion occurred when followers began preaching in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, leading to the establishment of physical gatherings.
In the United States, some members are now considering renting buildings for meetings.
Founder’s Perspective on the Future
Jester predicts:
- Continued growth for several years, with unity and strong adherence to core principles.
- Over time, the movement will likely change internally, with the original emphasis on truth, unity, and the proper discernment of dreams being diluted.
- Despite retaining the name and awareness that Christianity ended, the movement may become institutionalized or watered down, allowing growth but weakening the original principles.
- Jester expects splits to occur naturally, leaving God to ultimately guide the spiritual trajectory of the movement.
Summary
The Post-Christian Church of God is a post-biblical religious movement emphasizing:
- The fulfillment of prophecy and the end of Christianity in the first century.
- Absolute truth, radical honesty, and ethical living.
- Spiritual discernment through dreams, unity as proof of truth, and natural emergence of leadership.
- Avoidance of evil and judgment of others’ flesh as the central ethical principles.
It represents a unique combination of preterist biblical interpretation, radical honesty philosophy, and networked spiritual leadership, with an evolving global presence both online and in emerging physical congregations
