The Timeline of Revelation
Explaining the biblical timeline of the book of Revelation
The seals, the trumpets and the vials were a building up until the last day. He opened the seals, he didn't close them, they sounded the trumpets, they didn't halt them, the poured out the vials and all those things continued until the last day.
Jesus Christ Returned on April 21st 66 AD, just like he told them he would.
Here is what Josepus said about the return of Christ:
In 66 AD, Josephus was a Jewish military leader who participated in the First Jewish Revolt against the Roman Empire, but eventually surrendered to the Romans and became a key historical source for the events of the revolt, detailing the uprising and the siege of Jerusalem in his writings, particularly in his work "The Jewish War."
According to Flavius Josephus, a Jewish historian who lived near the time of Jesus, there were several miraculous events between Passover AD 65 and Passover AD 66. These events included:
- A sword-shaped star appeared in the sky over the Temple
- A bright light appeared in the Temple at night
- A cow gave birth to a lamb
- The Eastern Gate opened by itself
- Chariots and armies appeared in the sky
- Voices were heard in the Temple
Josephus described these events as "manifest portents" and "plain warnings of God" that people disregarded. He also recorded that Jesus Christ predicted these events. Josephus was born in 37 AD and died in 100 AD. He wrote Jewish Antiquities around 93-94 AD.
The Passover is a feast of the Jews, the most important feast, and lasts for Seven days in Israel. It celebrates their deliverance from Egypt. Flavius Josephus wrote about chariots and armies in the clouds on the 21st day of the month Artemisius in The Wars of the Jews.
Quote:
"A certain prodigious and incredible phenomenon appeared: I suppose the account of it would seem to be a fable, were it not related by those that saw it, and were not the events that followed it of so considerable a nature as to deserve such signals".
Explanation
Josephus described seeing chariots and soldiers in armor moving through the clouds and surrounding cities before sunset. He believed the event was so extraordinary that it would have been considered a fable if it weren't for the eyewitness accounts and the subsequent events.
Omens, as they supposed that God had opened to them the gate of blessings; but the learned understood that the security of the temple was dissolving of its own accord and that the opening of the gate meant a present to the enemy, interpreting the portent in their own minds as indicative of coming desolation. Again, not many days after the festival, Celestial armies.on the twenty-first of the month Artemesius, a there appeared a miraculous phenomenon, passing belief. Indeed, what I am about to relate would, I imagine, have been deemed a fable, were it not for the narratives of eyewitnesses and for the subsequent calamities which deserved to be so signalized. For before sunset throughout all parts of the country chariots were seen in the air and armed battalions hurtling through the clouds and encompassing the cities. Moreover, at the feast which is called Pentecost, The voice in the temple. The priests on entering the inner court of the temple by night, as their custom was in the discharge of their ministrations, reported that they were conscious, first of a commotion and a din, and after that of a voice as of a host, “We are departing hence.”
The beginning of this passage from Josephus is cut off, but the Jewish zealots thought these signs were a good omen to them.
These armies and chariots that ran on the clouds in shining armor was the return of Christ in his kingdom on the 21st day of April in 66 AD, It was at the same time Jesus said it would be when he was on earth.
Jesus gave his apostles the commission to preach the gospel in all the world to all nations and then the end would come and they would see the sign of the son of man coming in the clouds. He told them this would be when the armies came to Jerusalem, and would leave Jerusalem desolate after trampling the city under their feet for forty two months.
Luke 21:20:
And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
21 Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
23 But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.
24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
29 And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;
30 When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.
31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.
32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.
The gospel was only preached until the believers fled when the armies came, that is when the gospel preachers fled.
Compare Matthew and Luke
Matthew 24:14:
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
The believers were told to flee when they saw the armies coming to Jerusalem, because they knew those were the days of vengence, the days of Jesus' wrath, and the coming of the desolation of the temple.
The return of Christ though wasn't until the sixth seal, so there were five seals opened before April 21st 66 AD.
I'll just lay out the Timeline first, then Explain it using the bible and history.
April 21st 66 AD, The Return of Christ with the first resurrection of the 144k, and Satan and his angels being cast out of heaven (The stars falling), Satan going to make war with the remnant of Jesus' seed that was still alive, Jesus begins his reign with his saints to destroy Jerusalem.
In September of 66 AD, the Romans sent 30,000 troops towards Jerusalem, the Jews cut them off at Beth Horon, and Simon Bar giora and his army killed 6000 roman soldiers and sent the rest fleeing. The believers fled into the wilderness when the roman armies were coming, they fled for 1260 days. The earth swallowed up the flood that Satan cast out of his mouth (Satan was thrown into the bottomless pit), and the seed of Jesus, the living believes, the woman was chased into the wilderness where she had a place prepared away from the face of the serpent for 1260 days, and was nourished of God in the wilderness. At the same time the believers fled the two witnesses preached in Jerusalem for 1260 days. During the 1260 days the trumpets sounded.
NOTE: The Times in Revelation are further proof Revelation was originally written in Hebrew. The Roman calander in the first century was ten months, and each year was only 304 days. The Jewish Calendar was twelve months of 29-30 days a month and each year was 354 days.
February of 67 AD, John Levi of Giscala took over the temple by killing the priesthood, twelve thousand of them and the council in Jerusalem. He was the man of sin that would sit in the temple, They were the beast that would continue for forty two months. Vespasian and Titus were appointed by Nero to put down the Jewish Rebelling and they made their way towards Jerusalem burning Jewish cities and killing Jews, and were commanded to burn any Jewish literature they found in the towns on their way towards Jerusalem. Vespasian came from the north, and Titus went by sea with his legions to come from the south, and the Gentiles, the Roman armies started trampling the city under foot for forty two months.
After 1260 days from September of 66 AD to April of 70 AD, the trumpets were finished, Satan was let back up out of the bottomless pit. Satan killed the two witnesses and they were raptured to heaven, along with the believers who had been in the wilderness away from the face of the serpent for 1260. The seventh trumpet sounded and Jesus' work was finished, the prophets received their rewards, all the dead in Christ and the living were taken to be with him, then the kingdoms of the world and the kingdoms of the Christ became the kingdoms of God, and it was time for the bowls/vials to be poured out, which in them were filled up the wrath of God Almighty. The reign of Christ was over, the Marrage supper came and the door was shut, smoke filled the temple in heaven and no man could enter until the last plagues or bowls/vials were finished. The final siege for Jerusalem began, and the Romans let all the Jews into Jerusalem from all over the world for Passover. This was Armageddon, Hill of Megiddo, the siege of Megiddo. The Romans trapped all the Jews that Satan, the beast and the false prophet called from all over the world to the final battle, The Romans started building a wall around them and trapped them inside the city, as they waited for the rest of the Roman legions to arive, yes, from beyond the Euphrates as well.
September of 70 AD, The Battle of Gog and Magog, all the Jews were forced back into the temple, All the Roman legions had arrived. The forty two months from February of 67 to September of 70 were fulfilled, The vials were complete, Mystery Babylon (Jerusalem) was destroyed, the battle of Gog and Magog was completed. The beast and false prophet were thrown into the lake of fire. Once Satan saw all his hope on earth was gone, he and his angels went up in the air where the camp of the saints were with God and Jesus, and fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them and they were cast into the lake of fire where the beast and false prophet were. The believers received the fulness of the heavenly new Jerusalem. The 144 thousand made up the city in Jerusalem, and all else whose names were in the book of life had rights to go into that city. The great white throne judgment happened, and all the dead who didn't believe were thrown into the lake of fire. Sin was over, The grave was over, the law was over, Satan was over the world was reconciled back to the Father, Now God has the judgment, the keys to death and hell, and is the door to heaven.**
Now the Explanation
The first five Seals
The seals were sealed since the sin of Adam and Eve. Nothing was cut off or sealed away from Adam and Eve until after they fell to sin. From the time of Adam's fall, until Christ's death and resurrection, no one was worthy to open the seals because no one had overcome Satan, or sin.
The lamb had seven eyes. Eyes close and open, they blink and see, the eyes represent the seals, the lamb as it were killed like a sacrifice represents what it was that Jesus overcame, which was sin. The fact the lamb was dead and lived represents that Jesus overcame Satan who had power over death.**
Hebrews 2:13:
And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.
14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
17 Wherefore in all things it behooved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
It was sin and Satan that took man away from God. It was Jesus who was without sin, a sacrifice to reconcile man back to God, and overcome sin and Satan.
Revelation 5:1:
And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.
2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?
3 And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.
4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.
5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.
8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.
9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
Jesus also had seven horns which represent the seven trumpets, as they used horns for trumpets. Horns also are a weapon, they are used to hurt, they are used to defend, they are used to kill enemies.
The seals are the first
Also to be at the right hand of God means to be his salvation, Jesus sat at the right hand of God, and took the seals out of the right hand of God, which was to start a war, to send the seven spirits of God, the seven workings of God into he land to take the world back from the god of that world.
Psalm 118:15
The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly.
Psalm 18:35
Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great.
Psalm 17:7
Shew thy marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them.
Here is the Hebrew word for Salvation
יֶשַׁע yeshaʻ, yeh'-shah; or יֵשַׁע yêshaʻ; from H3467; liberty, deliverance, prosperity:—safety, salvation, saving.
The Jews knew what it meant to call a man Yesha, Yeshua. They were saying Jesus was the salvation of God.
